Online Status (Presence)
How do I know when my friends are online so that I can make free calls to them and send instant messages?
Your mobile phone contact list is used by the Freshtel MobileLink application to show you whether your contacts are online. Each contact name will have an icon next to it.
Online - The green icon means that the contact is currently online. Calls to online contacts are FREE via the Freshtel MobileLink service and free instant messaging is enabled.
Note: If a Freshtel MobileLink user is online and they do not answer your call within 20secs, it will be diverted over the mobile network to their GSM (mobile) voicemail where you will be charged at standard rates according to your chosen plan. You will be informed before the call is transferred to the paid network.
Off-net - The grey icon with an orange phone means that the contact’s status is either unknown or they are currently not logged into the Freshtel MobileLink network but can still be contacted (i.e. a Freshtel MobileLink customer who is not connected to Wi-Fi). Calls will be made via the Freshtel MobileLink service network and will be charged at standard rates according to your chosen plan. Click here for call rates.
